YOU, YOUR GLORY, AND THE IDOLS IN YOUR LIFE —PART 5

KEY TEXT: Joel 2:25 KJV– “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…”

No matter how far a person has fallen through pride or hidden idolatry, restoration is still possible. God is merciful and ready to restore lost glory when there is genuine repentance. When we humble ourselves and turn back to Him, He does not reject us. As written in James 4:10, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” The lifting comes after humility.

The story of Samson reminds us that even after losing his glory through compromise, God was still able to strengthen him again when he cried out. Though his hair was cut and his eyes were removed, heaven still heard his prayer. When you sincerely return to God, He can restore what pride and disobedience have stolen. Your latter glory can still be greater than the former.

Therefore, examine yourself daily. Keep your heart free from idols. Walk in humility, love, and total obedience. Your glory is safest in God’s hands. If you remain sincere and surrendered, no devil can steal what God has ordained for you. Stay watchful. Stay humble. Stay ready for His appearing.

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, restore every glory I have lost through pride or compromise. Help me to remain humble, obedient, and fully devoted to You until the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

1 Peter 5:6 KJV – “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, by Your mercy, restore every glory I have lost through pride, disobedience, or hidden idolatry, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. Lord, grant me the grace to walk in true humility and total surrender all the days of my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. Holy Spirit, help me to examine myself daily and remove anything in me that competes with God, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. Father, preserve my restored glory and keep me faithful, watchful, and ready for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
