VIRTUES OF CONTENTMENT (PART 7)
KEY TEXT: HEBREWS 4:16 KJV - "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

One of the most overlooked dimensions of contentment is dependence on God's grace. Contentment doesn't mean we have all we desire, it means we have access to all we need, through Christ. The heart of a contented believer is anchored not in possessions, but in the throne of grace. HEBREWS 13:5
Sometimes, contentment involves waiting. Other times, it involves surrender. In both cases, God's grace sustains us. Paul, who faced hardship and lack, declared, “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” This is the confidence of the contented heart: not in earthly resources, but in divine supply. PROVERBS 3:5
God's grace meets us in our weakness, fills the gaps in our lack, and carries us through uncertainty. Contentment, then, is not complacency—it is trust. It is the quiet assurance that even when we feel empty, God’s grace is enough. HEBREWS 4:16
APPLICATION:
- STAY PRAYERFUL: Draw near to the throne of grace in all situations.
- LEAN ON GOD'S STRENGTH: Let grace carry you when your strength is not enough.
- REFUSE FEAR AND DOUBT: Rest in God's faithful provision, He knows your every need. “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus Christ, I come boldly to Your throne of grace. Teach me to rely fully on Your strength and to trust in Your perfect provision. May Your grace sustain me and keep me content in every season, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
PSALM 23:1: "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."
