THE VIRTUE OF CONSECRATION (PART 5)

KEY TEXT: Hebrews 12:14 KJV – “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

HOLINESS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE: Consecration is not optional for the believer—it is a divine requirement for seeing the Lord. In a generation where holiness is often treated as legalism or extremism, God still declares, “Be ye holy; for I am holy.” — 1 Peter 1:16 KJV. Consecration is the believer’s proof of seriousness with God. Those who truly desire eternal life must embrace a lifestyle that separates them from sin, worldliness, and spiritual compromise.

PROTECTION THROUGH CONSECRATION: The consecrated life is also a guarded life. The more consecrated you are, the more protected you are from satanic infiltration. Samson lost his power the day he broke his consecration. What gave him supernatural strength was not just his hair, but the vow of separation behind it. The moment that vow was broken, he became an ordinary man. “And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him.” — Judges 16:20 KJV. This is a warning to every believer—when you break your consecration, you break your connection.

SPIRITUAL RELEVANCE: Moreover, consecration preserves your spiritual relevance. In a time when many are backsliding, those who are consecrated remain burning and shining lights. They are like the wise virgins who kept their lamps trimmed and burning. “But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” — Matthew 25:4 KJV. God is raising a remnant of holy vessels in this end time—men and women who will not bow to the idols of compromise, immorality, or lukewarm Christianity. Will you be one of them?

PRAYER:

Lord, keep me holy and separated unto You. I refuse to defile my vessel. Let me not lose the fire of consecration. Keep me spiritually alert and aligned to Your will, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Romans 6:13 KJV: “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God… and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”
