THE REVIVAL OF GOD THAT LASTS (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: Isaiah 57:15 KJV: “For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”

REVIVAL COMES THROUGH HUMILITY: Lasting revival is birthed in humility. God cannot pour out His Spirit on pride or self-exaltation. When believers humble themselves, acknowledging their dependence on Him, God moves mightily to revive their spirits. A contrite heart attracts divine attention and invites the sustaining power of God’s presence.

REVIVAL IS NOURISHED BY THE WORD: Consistent study and meditation on God’s Word are essential for a revival that lasts. The Word feeds the spirit, corrects the path, and strengthens faith. A revived believer is not only fervent in prayer but also grounded in scripture, allowing the fire of revival to be sustained through God’s promises. Joshua 1:8

REVIVAL IMPACTS COMMUNITIES: Genuine revival does not stay personal—it spills into families, churches, and communities. A life touched by lasting revival brings encouragement, righteousness, and hope to others. God uses the revived believer to influence their environment positively and extend His Kingdom on earth. Matthew 5:16

PRAYER:

O Lord, cultivate humility and hunger for Your Word in my life so that the revival You start in me will be lasting and fruitful in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

1 Peter 5:6 KJV: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, give me a humble and contrite heart that will attract Your reviving power daily in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. O Lord, plant in me a deeper love for Your Word so that my revival will be nourished and sustained continually in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. Father, let my life be a channel of revival, impacting my family, church, and community with Your righteousness and glory in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. O Lord, strengthen me to remain steadfast in humility, prayer, and obedience, so that the revival You release in me will never depart in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
