THE REVIVAL OF GOD THAT LASTS (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Habakkuk 3:2 KJV: “O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”

REVIVAL REQUIRES HUNGER: Lasting revival begins with deep spiritual hunger. When a believer becomes satisfied with spiritual mediocrity, revival fades. But when there is a desperate thirst for God’s presence and righteousness, heaven responds. Those who continually hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled, and their fire will not go out. Matthew 5:6

REVIVAL DEMANDS SACRIFICE: A revival that lasts will cost you comfort, convenience, and sometimes popularity. It requires intentional separation unto God, disciplined prayer, and unwavering commitment to holiness. When believers present themselves as living sacrifices, God releases fresh oil that sustains the flame continually. Romans 12:1

REVIVAL BRINGS DIVINE IMPACT: Genuine revival does not remain hidden; it radiates outward. It transforms homes, strengthens churches, and convicts sinners. When God revives a man, He makes him a light in darkness and a voice in his generation. A revived believer becomes a vessel through which God demonstrates His power and glory. Matthew 5:14–16

PRAYER:

O Lord, revive Your work in my life continually and make me a vessel of lasting fire in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Psalm 63:1 KJV: “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. O Lord, create in me a deeper hunger and thirst for Your presence that will sustain true revival in my life in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. Father, give me the grace to make necessary sacrifices that will preserve the fire of revival upon my altar in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. O Lord, let my life become a shining light that reflects the evidence of genuine revival wherever I go in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. Father, breathe afresh upon my spirit daily and let Your reviving power never depart from me in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
