THE REVIVAL OF GOD THAT LASTS
KEY TEXT: Psalm 85:6 KJV: “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”

WHAT IS REVIVAL: Revival is the process by which God brings to life what was asleep, dead, or cold spiritually, restoring it to its original or an even better form of itself. Revival is a process of change that puts a blaze back into a believer’s order of consecration and prayer, bringing it to a living state again. It is reviving what is dead. Because no matter how much one tries to bring about revival themselves, it must come from God, not from man’s own effort. Isaiah 57:15
HOW TO ATTAIN REVIVAL: Revival is not attained by accident, but is an intentional act of God that comes in response to humility, repentance, and prayer unto God, and a deliberate turning away from sin through the Holy Spirit. The Word of God calls us to humble ourselves and seek the face of God, and then He will hear from heaven. So revival is gotten when a man decides within himself that there is a need for revival and a need for change, and the Lord gives the grace needed to change through revival. 2 Chronicles 7:14
EXAMPLES OF REVIVAL: We see an example of revival where the Lord God took Ezekiel into a valley that was full of bones. The Lord showed him bones that were long dead, with no hope and no life. And Ezekiel responded to God concerning whether these bones could live, and the Lord told him to prophesy unto them. And lo and behold, the bones came alive. This means that there is no dead situation that can ever escape the reviving power of God if we obey Him and listen to the voice of His leading. Ezekiel 37:7–10
PRAYER:
O Lord, help me to attain revival. I need to restore my relationship back to you in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
James 4:8 KJV: “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…”
PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord, let every spiritual dryness and coldness in my life be consumed by the fire of the Holy Ghost. Restore my first love and rekindle my passion for prayer and holiness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
2. Father, uproot every seed of complacency, compromise, and secret sin hindering my revival. Purify my heart and make me a vessel fit for lasting revival, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
3. O Lord, breathe upon every dead area of my life—my prayer altar, my consecration, my zeal for soul-winning—and cause them to live again by Your mighty power, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
4. Father, let the revival You begin in me spread to my family, my church, and my generation. Make me a carrier of a revival that lasts and not a seasonal fire, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
