THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS (PART 5)

KEY TEXT: MATTHEW 18:21-22 KJV – “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”

Forgiveness has no limit. Jesus shattered human expectations by commanding us to forgive continuously. This is not about tolerating abuse, but about keeping your spirit free from poison. Every time you forgive, you win a spiritual battle.

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” – ROMANS 12:21 KJV

The cross is the highest demonstration of forgiveness. Christ bore what He did not deserve so we could be free. If God has shown you mercy, why can’t you extend that mercy to others? Forgiveness is proof that you have truly encountered grace.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – ROMANS 5:8 KJV

Your destiny is too precious to be delayed by offense. Many have missed divine appointments, spiritual promotions, and blessings because they refused to forgive. Release those who hurt you and step into your divine inheritance.

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” – EPHESIANS 4:32 KJV

Child of God, the journey of forgiveness leads to total healing, inner peace, and spiritual maturity. Let this be your decision today: to live free, love freely, and forgive endlessly. That is the life of Christ in you.

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, I choose a life of mercy and forgiveness. Wash me clean of every bitterness. Let my heart reflect Yours. Make me an instrument of peace. In Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

JAMES 2:13 KJV: “For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”
