THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: LUKE 6:37c KJV– “Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:”

True forgiveness is not a one-time act; it’s a continuous choice to let go and let God take over. Sometimes the wounds run deep, and the pain lingers—but forgiveness is still God’s command. The one who chooses to forgive gains peace, freedom, and access to divine mercy.

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another... even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” – COLOSSIANS 3:13

You may think forgiving someone means they got away with hurting you. But in truth, forgiveness doesn’t excuse the offense—it sets your soul free. Vengeance belongs to God. Leave the matter in His hands and walk away with a clean heart.

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” – ROMANS 12:19

Some people struggle to forgive themselves. The enemy uses guilt and shame to trap them in cycles of defeat. But if God has forgiven you, who are you to hold on to what He has wiped clean? Embrace His mercy and live in freedom.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus...” – ROMANS 8:1

Child of God, forgiveness is not weakness—it is strength under God’s authority. It brings healing, restores joy, and opens the doors for spiritual breakthroughs. Don’t allow unforgiveness to keep you bound when Jesus already set you free.

PRAYER:

Merciful Father, help me to truly forgive others, and also myself. Heal every wound, restore my peace, and teach me to walk in love and humility, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

MATTHEW 5:7 KJV: “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
