THE NEED FOR BELIEVER'S CONSECRATION (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: ROMANS 6:19 KJV: "I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness."

WHOLEHEARTED DEVOTION: Consecration requires wholehearted devotion to God. He desires all of us, not just a portion. Half-hearted commitment leads to spiritual stagnation, but when we give God our whole heart, He fills us with His presence and power. "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might" (DEUTERONOMY 6:5).

WALKING IN OBEDIENCE: Obedience is a key aspect of consecration. When we obey God's commandments, we demonstrate our love for Him. Consecration is not just about saying we are set apart, but about living in alignment with God’s will, even when it is difficult. "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (JOHN 14:15).

POWER THROUGH CONSECRATION: A consecrated life is a powerful life. When we fully surrender to God, He works through us mightily. Many of God's greatest servants, such as Moses, Elijah, and Paul, experienced extraordinary power because of their consecration to Him. "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me" (ACTS 1:8).

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, I surrender my whole life to you. Break me and remold me to the standard you desire me to be and empower me to remain consecrated to you, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

ROMANS 6:16 KJV: "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
