THE CALL TO CONSECRATION: Consecration is the act of setting oneself apart for God’s holy purposes. Throughout the Bible, God calls His people to live in holiness, surrendering their lives fully to Him. To be consecrated means to be dedicated to the Lord, removing anything that hinders our relationship with Him. True consecration requires a heart willing to obey God’s will above all else. "Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God" (Leviticus 20:7 KJV).

SURRENDERING TO GOD'S WILL: One of the greatest aspects of consecration is surrendering to God’s will. Jesus Himself demonstrated this when He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, submitting to the Father’s plan. Consecration is not about our desires but about yielding to God’s purpose, trusting that His ways are higher than ours. "And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt" (Matthew 26:39 KJV).

A LIVING SACRIFICE: Paul exhorts believers to offer their bodies as a living sacrifice, which is an essential part of consecration. This means dedicating every aspect of our lives to God—our thoughts, actions, and desires. True worship is not just singing songs but living a life that glorifies Him in all that we do. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service" (Romans 12:1 KJV).

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, deliver me from the grip of flesh and grant me the grace to be fully consecrated to your will and purpose, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

1 PETER 2:9 KJV: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”
