THE DANGER OF COMPROMISE (PART 5)
KEY TEXT: HEBREWS 12:14 KJV – “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”

Compromise is a subtle thief of holiness. It doesn’t always begin with open rebellion — it starts when what once offended your spirit becomes tolerable. Slowly, conviction fades, and what once broke your heart no longer moves you. Many believers still attend church, but with a seared conscience. “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” 1 TIMOTHY 4:2 KJV
God is not mocked. The standard of holiness remains unchanged. Heaven is not for the convenient but for the committed. The cost of compromise is eternal separation from God. Esau lost his birthright for one moment of fleshly satisfaction — a decision he could not reverse with tears. “For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected...” HEBREWS 12:17 KJV
When you compromise, you betray your spiritual birthright. Like Demas, who forsook Paul because he loved the world, many have abandoned the narrow path for temporary pleasures. “For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world...” 2 TIMOTHY 4:10 KJV
Beloved, the danger of compromise is not just in what you lose now — it's in what you may never regain. Don’t trade eternal reward for temporary relief. “What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” MARK 8:36 KJV
PRAYER:
O Lord, restore my hunger for holiness. Let me not be found among those who sell their spiritual heritage for fleeting pleasures. Keep me steadfast and pure until the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
PSALM 119:1 KJV – “Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.”
