SPEAKING THE SAME LANGUAGE OF LOVE (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: Colossians 3:13 – “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”

If you have unforgiveness because somebody offended you in the morning, and 30 minutes have gone, 1 hour has gone, till evening, you have not forgiven, my sister, my brother, you are digging your grave to hell. You are fighting against the prayer of Jesus Christ, “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.” So, therefore, we must learn forgiveness for us to make it to heaven. John 17:21

For the world to know that Jesus is Lord, we must show love. Do you know why the chief priests, the captains of the temple, and the elders did not recognize Jesus Christ when they came to arrest Him? They did not instantly identify him and Judas had to show them. Why? Because Jesus had so much humbled himself and made himself of the same level with the disciples. All of them were together in unity. Wherever they went, you couldn’t see a difference between Jesus Christ and the disciples. Matthew 26:48-49

Today, when the pastor moves, one boy will be carrying his coat, and others will act as bodyguards. They differentiate themselves. In the time of Jesus, it was never so. If you saw Peter or James, you saw Jesus. He was equal with them. But today, there is a seat for pastors and pastors' wives. When they come late, members begin to say, "Mommy, Daddy, has come." This is not the humility of Christ.

PRAYER: Almighty God, empower the church of Christ to humble ourselves before one another, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Philippians 4:2 – “I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.”
