REACTIVATE YOUR FOCUS (PART 6)
KEY TEXT: 2 Timothy 4:7–8 KJV – “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

FOCUS UNTIL THE END:
True focus is not a momentary act but a lifelong pursuit. Apostle Paul’s testimony at the end of his journey reveals the reward of sustained focus. He fought, finished, and kept the faith. Many begin well but lose direction along the way due to distractions, offences, or spiritual weariness. Beloved, finishing well requires consistent focus on Christ till the end. Let your eyes remain fixed on the eternal crown rather than the fleeting applause of men.
THE DANGER OF LOSING FOCUS MIDWAY:
Demas once walked with Paul but was later drawn back by love for the present world (2 Timothy 4:10). He started with zeal but lost sight of eternity. Many believers today begin strong in faith but gradually drift away because their focus shifts from God to self-interest, pleasure, or comfort. Satan rejoices when a believer abandons the race halfway. Guard your heart diligently; stay spiritually awake and prayerful so that your focus remains sharp and undivided until Christ’s return.
THE REWARD OF ENDURING FOCUS:
Those who maintain focus till the end will receive the crown of righteousness. Heaven’s reward is not for starters but for finishers who refused to be moved by trials. Every focused believer will hear the glorious words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Keep pressing forward, no matter the pain or delay, for your crown is sure in Christ. Remember, the same Jesus who started this good work in you will also finish it (Philippians 1:6).
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, help me to remain focused until the end. Deliver me from anything that seeks to distract me, and strengthen me to finish my race faithfully, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
Revelation 3:11 KJV – “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”
PRAYER POINTS:
1. My heavenly Father, grant me the grace to stay focused and faithful to the end of my Christian journey; let nothing derail me from the path of righteousness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
2. Lord Jesus Christ, deliver me from every distraction, offence, or worldly pleasure designed to make me lose sight of my eternal crown, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
3. O Lord my Father, strengthen me daily to fight the good fight of faith and to finish my course with joy and divine victory, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
4. My Father and my God, preserve me from the spirit of weariness and inconsistency; let my zeal for Your kingdom never grow cold, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
