REACTIVATE YOUR FOCUS (PART 2)
KEY TEXT: Luke 9:62 KJV – “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

STAYING FOCUSED IS STAYING FIT FOR GOD’S KINGDOM: The journey of faith demands steadfastness. A believer who begins well but loses focus along the way risks being disqualified. Jesus made it clear that anyone who looks back after committing to the kingdom work is unfit for His service. Many start with passion but allow comfort, criticism, or worldly attraction to steal their focus. To remain fit, one must walk daily in obedience, discipline, and consistent fellowship with the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:25).
THE ENEMY OF YOUR FOCUS: One of Satan’s strongest weapons is distraction. He may not always tempt a believer to sin outrightly, but he can occupy them with busyness, social comparison, or pursuit of vanity. Samson lost his focus through pleasure; Demas lost his through love of the world (2 Timothy 4:10). A believer who doesn’t guard his focus will soon lose his direction and divine relevance. Be sober and vigilant (1 Peter 5:8); your focus determines your destiny.
RENEW YOUR FOCUS DAILY: Focus is not a one-time decision—it is a daily discipline. Each day, decide again to follow Jesus, deny yourself, and carry your cross (Luke 9:23). Reactivating focus requires self-examination, repentance, and renewed dependence on the Word of God. Keep your heart centered on Christ’s purpose and not on people’s opinions. Those who stay focused finish strong and receive the incorruptible crown (1 Corinthians 9:25).
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, help me to maintain focus on my heavenly calling. Deliver me from every form of distraction, and strengthen me to finish well and strong, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
Colossians 3:2 KJV – “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
