IDENTIFICATION THROUGH YOUR FRUIT (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: John 15:8 KJV: “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”

Bearing good fruit as a true believer brings great joy and glory to the Father in heaven. Furthermore, praising and glorifying the name of Almighty God in that challenging and difficult situation instead of complaining and murmuring is a way of bearing fruit. God’s word encourages, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Let us continually, not only when everything is working accordingly, in season and out of season, let us continually give thanks unto God. HEBREW 13:15

Daniel and his friends were pressured to compromise in their observance of God's laws, but they proposed in their hearts not to defile themselves through the king's delicacies. Because they did not waver, none were found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. There were ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all the king’s realm. DANIEL 1:8, 18-20

Similarly, when his three friends were commanded to bow down before an idol or else face execution, they also refused to turn their back on God's commandments. How many times have we turned our back on the command of the Almighty God and insist still that we are children of God? Our fruits will surely identify us. DANIEL 3:16-18

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, grant me the grace to continually offer the fruit of thanksgiving in every situation, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Luke 6:43 KJV: “For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”
