You may be neglected or rejected in your situation by friends and loved ones, but how you handle such situations is important to God and it determines the type of fruit you bear as a child of God. Through circumstances that are not favorable, it's easier to identify if one is truly a child of God through their words. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good…” Out of the abundance of the heart the truth which you are made of is seen. Whatever that is in your heart determines what you say. Luke 6:45

The Bible has mentioned love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance as fruit of the Spirit. Now, in your life as child of God is there hatred in your heart instead of a genuine, pure love? The Bible adds peace as one of the fruit of the spirit. In your life as a believer, do people experience disunity, war and quarrels because of your actions or reactions whenever you are around? Galatians 5:22-23

Is there the fruit of faith of God in you in that circumstance you are passing through, or is there anxiety and worry in your life? The Bible mentions about meekness: is there meekness in your life or is it overtaken by pride and arrogance? When you are meek you will not claim you know too much. Psalms 25:9

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me in any way I have not fully manifested the fruit of the Spirit in my life. Empower me to cultivate the nine fruit of the Spirit, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Matthew 3:8 KJV: “Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.”
