GOD’S DIVINE JUDGMENT (PART 5 )
KEY TEXT: 2 Corinthians 5:10 (KJV) – “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ…”

THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST (BELIEVERS)
The Judgment Seat of Christ is not for condemnation but for evaluation. It is where believers will give account of how they lived after salvation. Sin is not judged here, because it was judged at the cross, but works, motives, faithfulness, and obedience will be tested. Every believer will stand before Christ to receive reward or loss of reward, according to how they served Him on earth (1 Corinthians 3:12–15). This judgment emphasizes responsibility, stewardship, and eternal reward.
THE GREAT WHITE THRONE (UNBELIEVERS)
The Great White Throne Judgment is for all who rejected Christ. This is a judgment unto condemnation, not reward. Those standing here are judged according to their works because they refused salvation by grace. Their names are absent from the Book of Life, and the final sentence is eternal separation from God in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11–15). This judgment reveals God’s perfect justice and the tragic consequence of rejecting mercy.
THE URGENCY OF ETERNAL PREPARATION:
These two judgments reveal that everyone will face God, but not everyone will face Him the same way. The difference is Christ. Those in Christ face evaluation; those outside Christ face condemnation. Therefore, the call of the gospel is urgent: repent, believe, and live ready. Preparation for judgment is not postponed until death—it begins now, in daily obedience, holiness, and faithfulness to God (Matthew 24:44).
REFLECTION:
Romans 14:12- “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord, grant me grace to live responsibly and faithfully, knowing that I will give account of my works before the Judgment Seat of Christ, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
(2 Corinthians 5:10)
2. My Father, help me to walk in holiness and obedience, that my works may be approved and rewarded and not burned on the day of evaluation, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
(1 Corinthians 3:13–15; 1 Peter 1:15–16)
3. O God of mercy, keep me and my household in Christ, that none of us will appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
(John 5:24; Revelation 20:15)
4. Lord Jesus Christ, stir my heart with urgency to live prepared for eternity, redeeming the time and serving You faithfully until the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
(Ephesians 5:15–16; Matthew 24:44)
