FROM CONVERSION TO SUBMISSION

KEY TEXT: Luke 6:46 KJV: “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”

Many believers have received Jesus Christ as Savior, yet few have fully surrendered to Him as Lord. Conversion gives you salvation, delivers you from sin, and secures your eternity, but submission brings His rulership into every area of your life. True spiritual maturity is measured not only by what Christ has done for you, but by how willingly you allow Him to lead, direct, and govern your decisions, habits, and desires. Without submission, many Christians live in inconsistency, struggle in spiritual authority, and miss the fullness of the life God has prepared for them. (Romans 10:9; Luke 9:23)

Submission requires daily obedience and total alignment with God’s will. Conversion changes your position before God, but submission transforms your life, relationships, priorities, and purpose. It is the difference between merely being saved and being empowered to walk in dominion. Submission is proven through obedience, humility, denial of self, and willingness to allow God to rule over your will. The Lordship of Christ manifests when a believer’s choices, speech, and actions reflect God’s authority rather than personal preference. (John 14:15; James 4:7; 1 Corinthians 15:31)

To move from conversion to submission, a believer must: yield their will, obey God consistently, accept correction, and place divine purpose above personal ambition. It is in daily surrender that transformation and spiritual authority are activated. Salvation without submission is incomplete, but submission unlocks the authority, blessing, and dominion God intended. Today, make a deliberate choice to not only call Jesus your Savior but to enthrone Him as Lord of your life, that every area of your life may glorify Him. (Romans 12:1–2; Luke 22:42; Matthew 7:21)

PRAYER:

O Lord, I choose to move from mere conversion to full submission. Let every area of my life bow to Your Lordship, and empower me to obey, serve, and honor You in thought, word, and deed, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Luke 9:23 KJV: “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. O Lord, I surrender every area of my life to Your Lordship. Let my will, my decisions, and my desires submit fully to You, and empower me to obey Your Word consistently, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Luke 6:46; John 14:15)

2. Father, deliver me from selective obedience and carnality. Help me to deny myself daily, take up my cross, and follow You wholeheartedly, that I may experience true transformation and spiritual authority, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Luke 9:23; Romans 12:1–2)

3. Lord, grant me the humility and wisdom to accept correction and guidance from You. Let every part of my life glorify You, and cause me to walk in alignment with Your divine purpose, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (James 4:7; Luke 22:42)

4. Almighty God, I ask for grace to enthrone Jesus Christ as Lord over my life daily. Let His rulership manifest in my habits, speech, relationships, and decisions, that Your kingdom may be evident in me, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Romans 10:9; Matthew 7:21)
