FIGHTING FOR THE PRIZE OF THE HIGH CALLING (PART 10)

KEY TEXT: Philippians 3:13–14 KJV – “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD: Concluding the race requires focus, determination, and forgetting the past failures. Paul reminds us that what is behind should not distract us from pressing forward. Beloved, your relationship with God must be forward-looking, anchored in faith and hope. Past mistakes, setbacks, or disappointments cannot disqualify you if your eyes remain on Jesus. Keep pressing toward the mark, for the prize of the high calling is eternal and worth every effort. Revelation 2:10

YOUR SPIRITUAL CONDITION: Finishing well demands endurance, vigilance, and total dependence on God. Spiritual fatigue, doubt, or distraction can cause even seasoned believers to falter. Your condition should reflect perseverance, faithfulness, and constant renewal in the Word, prayer, and obedience. Remember, the crown of life is for those who endure, who refuse to turn back, and who remain steadfast under every trial. James 1:12

THE VOICE OF YOUR CONSCIENCE: Let your conscience always remind you to forget the past failures, forgive yourself, and press on in obedience. The Spirit of God will guide you to remain steadfast, encouraging you that your efforts are not in vain. Do not listen to the enemy’s lies that say you are disqualified. The crown awaits those who fight faithfully, finish their course, and love the appearing of Christ. James 5:11

PRAYER:

My Lord and my Savior, help me to forget what is behind, press toward the mark, and fight faithfully for the prize of the high calling, until I obtain the eternal crown, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen.

REFLECTION:

2 Timothy 2:12 KJV – “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. My Father and my God, give me the grace to forget every past failure, disappointment, and mistake that may hinder my progress. Help me to keep pressing forward with renewed faith and focus, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen.

2. Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen me to endure to the end and never lose sight of the eternal crown. Let my spiritual life be full of perseverance, steadfastness, and unwavering commitment to Your will, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen.

3. O Lord my God, let my conscience be guided by Your Spirit to always remind me of the heavenly prize. Deliver me from guilt, fear, and every voice of discouragement trying to stop me from finishing well, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen.

4. My Father and my God, empower me to press toward the mark of the high calling with total dependence on You. Let me finish strong, reign with Christ, and receive the eternal crown of glory at His appearing, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen.
