FAITHFUL CONTINUITY IS REQUIRED (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Acts 14:22 – “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”

Anyone who wants to complete the journey to the Kingdom of God, must stand strong and continue in their faith in Christ. As the prophets and Apostles of old recorded in the Word of God, every believer must endure tribulations to enter God’s Kingdom. This is the message I, Apostle Emmanuel Osezele, bring to you today: Heaven is not reached through ease; it requires enduring pain and trials (1 Thessalonians 3:4).

You must pass through pain. You must be holy. You must be righteous to enter the kingdom of God, and you must continue to serve faithfully. The Bible tells us to, “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able” (Luke 13:24). You don't enter the kingdom of God by simply wishing, but by faithful striving.

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed” (John 8:30-31). You may believe the truth of the Gospel now. What if another person comes tomorrow with another gospel, would you also believe? Jesus is telling you now that the only way we can be delivered is if we continue in the painful but gainful truth of the gospel.

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, grant me spiritual empowerment for continuity, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

2 Thessalonians 1:4 – “So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. O Lord, by Your mercy, grant me enduring grace to continue steadfastly in the faith of Christ, that no tribulation, persecution, or pressure will move me away from the truth of the Gospel, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Acts 14:22; 1 Corinthians 15:58)

2. Father, strengthen my inner man by Your Spirit, that through every trial, pain, and persecution, I will stand firm, remain faithful, and not faint along my journey to the kingdom of God, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (2 Thessalonians 1:4; Isaiah 40:31)

3. Lord Jesus, deliver me from every form of compromise, deception, and strange doctrine. Establish my heart in Your word, that I will continue in the truth and not be carried away by another gospel, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (John 8:31; Galatians 1:6–8)

4. Holy Father, sanctify me wholly in spirit, soul, and body. Help me to strive lawfully, walk in holiness, and live righteously, that I may be found worthy to enter through the strait gate of Your kingdom, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Luke 13:24; Hebrews 12:14)

5. Lord, empower me to serve You faithfully without weariness, murmuring, or turning back. Let my love for You grow stronger daily, until I finish my course with joy and obtain the crown of life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Revelation 2:10; 2 Timothy 4:7)
