BORN AGAIN — NOT ADJUSTMENT (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Romans 8:10 KJV - "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.”

CHRIST IN YOU — THE SOURCE OF THE NEW LIFE: The essence of the new birth is Christ living within the believer. Christianity is not imitation of Christ from the outside but the manifestation of Christ from within. Many struggle because they try to adjust their actions without yielding to the indwelling Christ. When Christ is truly formed in a believer, righteous living becomes the natural expression of the new life. Colossians 1:27; Galatians 4:19.

THE HOLY SPIRIT ENABLES THE NEW CREATION LIFE: The Holy Spirit is the active agent of the new birth and the enabler of the new creation lifestyle. He empowers the believer to overcome the flesh, walk in holiness, and fulfill God’s will. Adjustment relies on human strength, but life in the Spirit produces lasting transformation. As believers submit to the Spirit, the life of Christ is revealed in daily conduct. Romans 8:1–4; Galatians 5:16.

LIVING BY THE NEW NATURE DAILY: The new birth is not a one-time experience that ends at salvation; it is a life to be lived daily. The believer must consciously walk in the Spirit, renew the mind with the Word, and yield to the lordship of Christ. As this new nature is expressed daily, spiritual growth, fruitfulness, and consistency, become evident. Ephesians 4:22–24; Colossians 3:10.

PRAYER:

Father, I thank You that Christ lives in me by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help me to live daily from the new life within me and not by the dictates of the flesh. Let the life of Christ be clearly expressed through my thoughts, words, and actions, bringing glory to Your name, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Colossians 1:27 KJV - “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, I thank You for the life of Christ within me. Let this new life dominate my thoughts, desires, and actions, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. Holy Spirit, empower me to walk daily in the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. Lord, help me to consistently express my new nature in righteousness, holiness, and obedience, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. Every habit, appetite, or pattern that contradicts the life of Christ in me, I renounce and overcome by the Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

5. Father, let the life of Christ in me produce visible fruit that glorifies You and draws others to salvation, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
