BORN AGAIN — NOT ADJUSTMENT (PART 2)
KEY TEXT: Romans 6:4 KJV - "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

THE OLD MAN MUST DIE: The message of the new birth begins with death before life. Many believers struggle because they attempt to adjust the old man instead of allowing him to die. Salvation demands the burial of the old sinful nature so that the life of Christ can be manifested. Until the old man is crucified, the power of resurrection life cannot be fully expressed. True Christianity starts where self ends. Romans 6:6; Colossians 3:3.
NEWNESS OF LIFE IS NOT SELF-IMPROVEMENT: Walking in newness of life is not about trying harder or behaving better; it is about living from a new spiritual identity. Adjustment focuses on effort, but newness of life flows from grace. When a believer understands that the old life has ended, obedience becomes a product of identity, not pressure. The life of Christ within empowers righteous living naturally. 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20.
RESURRECTION LIFE PRODUCES SPIRITUAL POWER: The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in the born-again believer. This resurrection life gives victory over sin, authority over darkness, and strength to walk consistently with God. A believer who understands the reality of the new birth does not live defeated, but reigns through Christ. Adjustment cannot produce this power; only regeneration can. Ephesians 1:19–20; Romans 8:11.
PRAYER:
Father, I thank You that my old life has been buried with Christ and that I am raised to walk in newness of life. Help me to fully embrace the death of the old man and to live daily by the power of resurrection life. Let my walk reflect my new identity in Christ, not self-effort or religious adjustment, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
Galatians 2:20 KJV - “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…”
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, help me to fully embrace the death of the old man and to walk daily in newness of life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
2. Every attempt to revive my old sinful nature, I reject and crucify by the power of the cross, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
3. Lord, let the power of Christ’s resurrection work mightily in me, producing victory, consistency, and spiritual strength, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
4. Holy Spirit, teach me to live from my new identity in Christ and not from self-effort or religious adjustment, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
5. Father, let my life reflect the reality of the new birth and draw others to Christ, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
