BEYOND CONVICTION: LEARNING FROM THE WORD OF GOD (PART 8)

KEY TEXT: Matthew 24:35 KJV – “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

THE ETERNAL STANDARD: Conviction fades, feelings change, and hearts are deceitful, but the Word of God abides forever. It is the one eternal standard by which all men will be judged. Those who reject the Word because they lacked conviction will stand condemned by the same Word they ignored (John 12:48).

THE FINAL CALL: God has given His children His Word as light, guide, and standard. To depend on conviction alone is to gamble with eternity. Every believer must choose to live by the infallible Word, for it is truth, life, and the only sure foundation that never fails (Psalm 119:89).

THE BLESSED END: Conviction may assist, but only the Word guarantees eternal life when obeyed. Blessed are those who hear the Word, receive it with meekness, and walk in its truth. Such shall endure till the end and obtain everlasting life with Christ (James 1:21; Matthew 7:24-25).

PRAYER:

My Lord and my God, let my life be anchored on Your eternal Word. Deliver me from the deception of feelings and unstable convictions. Help me to walk in obedience till the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

John 12:48 KJV – “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”

PRAYER POINTS

1. O Lord my Father, let my life be firmly built on Your unchanging Word, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. Father Lord, deliver me from the deception of unstable feelings and help me to stand on divine truth, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. Lord Jesus Christ, help me to live daily by Your Word and not by human opinions or emotions, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. Holy Spirit of the most High, strengthen me to obey and uphold God’s eternal Word until the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
