ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE TO THE WORD OF GOD IS THE ROOT OF HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Exodus 23:22 KJV: “But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.”

God gave a clear caution to Moses in Exodus 23:22. Satan cannot do anything to you when you are obedient to the Word of God. He can only try but he can never succeed because the Lord is with you like a mighty terrible one. Obedience brings boldness. In the book of Daniel, there were three Hebrew men that stood out of the crowd. What were they doing? They were obedient to the Word of God. Psalms 3:6

They knew the Word of God, which says, “thou shalt have no other gods before me.” And they told Nebuchadnezzar, “… be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” The Bible says that we should not fear one that can kill the body, but the one that can destroy both the body and the soul in hell. How many Christians today will be bold to stand their ground and declare their faith? Daniel 3:16-18

Don't be crafty. You cannot help God. God cannot glorify himself in that situation when you are a compromiser, unrighteous and crafty. The only way God can glorify himself in your situation is when you are bold and obedient in holiness and righteousness. When you obey the Word of God, the host of heaven will surround you as they did in Joseph’s and Shadrach and his friends’ case. Proverbs 14:12

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, whatsoever has been programmed into my heart that I will only be a hearer and never a doer of God’s Word, catch fire, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

REFLECTION:

James 1:25 KJV: “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
