ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE TO THE WORD OF GOD IS THE ROOT OF HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: MATTHEW 7:24 KJV: “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.”

The Word of God is the rock. Who are you standing upon? What can you reckon in your life to cause you to say, “I am standing upon the Word of God”? Deuteronomy 28:2 says, “And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” Your steps shall be ordered by God and no evil shall come to your household, because you are obeying the Word of God. There is this divine aura of the Living God that surrounds and goes with you, to shield you from every snare of the fowler. DEUTERONOMY 28:7

Just as disobedience is the root of all iniquity, sin, rebellion and destruction, so obedience is the root of holiness and righteousness. Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalts a nation...” Righteousness will exalt and defend and will set you on that narrow path that leads to everlasting life. PROVERBS 11:5

The pollution in the world today has diluted Christians and made them so laden with sin and iniquity, that they cannot enter that narrow road. When you go to church now, you will hear different things: Gospel Makosa, Gospel Reggae, Gospel Azonto, saying they do it to glorify the Lord. You see how Satan has succeeded in entering the body of Christ in order for them to rebel against the Word of God. PSALM 107:11-12

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, I receive the grace to firmly stand upon the Word of God without compromise, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

PROVERBS 13:6 KJV: “Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.”
