ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD IS THE ROOT OF HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

KEY TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 28:1 KJV: "And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth."

One problem that we have in the body of Christ is that we have hearers and hardly any doers of the Word of God. If we had doers of the Word, there would be unity in the Body of Christ, and the kingdom of the devil would be in trouble. What satan has succeeded in doing is for believers to rebel and sin against the Word of God. Satan does not stop you from hearing. He will allow you to hear, but to do it, that is where the challenges are. And that is where many children of God have failed. JAMES 1:22

In the Bible, you will discover each time God wants to commission a man, the first counsel He will give is: if they will hearken to His commandments and follow His ways, He will chase away the enemy from them, bless, and favor them. Unfortunately, people claim the blessings of God, but they are rebellious to His Word. DEUTERONOMY 28:15

Deuteronomy 28:1 states "…to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth." That is the Word of God for you. He is not telling you that you must stay all night and pray. Prayer is good, but you can see the number one keyword there is obedience to the Word of God. LUKE 6:46

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, let the light of Your Word envelope my spirit and soul that I may obey it always, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
