A DEEPER WALK WITH GOD IS DEMANDED (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: MATTHEW 11:29 KJV: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

GOD REWARDS THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM: When we walk with Him wholeheartedly, He blesses us with His presence, peace, and favor. Just as He rewarded Enoch, Abraham, and others, He will reward us for our faithfulness. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (HEBREWS 11:6).

WALKING WITH GOD LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE: This journey is not just for this life, but for eternity. Those who remain faithful to Him will one day see Him face to face and dwell with Him forever. You must strive to be faithful daily in your walk with God. Strive to be holy and righteous, totally depending on the Holy Spirit. "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God” (REVELATION 21:3).

THE CALL TO WALK WITH GOD IS FOR EVERYONE: Regardless of your past, God invites you into a close relationship with Him. There's no one God is not able to walk with. God is ready to forgive and walk with anyone that sincerely surrenders to Him. Beloved in Christ, no matter how dirty or horrible your past is, God is ready to lead, guide, and walk with you every step of the way henceforth—if you will surrender to Him today. "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you” (JAMES 4:8).

PRAYER:

Father Lord, have mercy on me for not taking my walk with you seriously before. I repent of my laziness, carelessness and negligence. Grant me the grace to strive daily, as I make up my mind to diligently walk with you henceforth and to see you face to face in your kingdom, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
